With the soul of an artist and intellect of a scientist, Jennifer approaches the life with boundless curiosity for the world.  She uses a wide variety of tools, media, and techniques in her expressive and design explorations.  Her work seeks to find connections between art and science on various levels.  It is often inspired by the natural world; she investigates human interactions with the natural world, both symbiotically and antagonistically.  In design, Jennifer aspires to create products which live their function through solving a problem practically, simply, and elegantly.

Her desire to explore the world intellectually and physically has led to travels throughout the US, Europe, Southeast Asia, and Central America.  She received a BS in Neuroscience and Anthropology, from Tulane University in 2006 and has taken additional courses in Fine Art and Graphic Design at Parson's School of Design and the Art Institute of Tampa, FL.

While in Florida, Jennifer worked for two years as an instructor and advocate for developmentally disabled adult artists; a role that included working as a hands-on mentor, community advocate and ambassador.

In 2010 Jennifer moved to New York to pursue an advanced education in Industrial Design.  She completed her graduate thesis and received the degree of Masters of Industrial Design in February 2015.

Throughout her course of study at Pratt, Jennifer continued to work in various capacities as a designer and consultant.  She served as communication design consultant to the Pratt Incubator for Sustainable Design.  She also spent time as a production assistant to multiple fashion brands - work that included textile design, soft-good construction and jewelry fabrication.

In 2013, Jennifer took on the role of Brand Director for Anna Sheffield Jewelry in Manhattan where she led a team concentrated on strategic growth and brand strategy. Specific focus included digital business development; design,build-out and opening of flagship Manhattan retail location; production scaling; HR; event production; product collaborations, direction of full creative rebrand.

Jennifer was married in 2017 and relocated with her husband to the Portland, Oregon the same year. She founded JSK Creative in 2018, through which she now serves clients as principal designer and creative consultant. As an artist and designer, Jennifer is open and interested in opportunities for collaboration and community enrichment. Inquiries are welcomed and always appreciated.
